Welcome to NABI WEEK 2009. Check this section regularly for updated information. This event is open to bowlers that joined NABI no later than June 1, 2009 that have entered 1/3 of their local NABI tournaments scheduled in 2009 with a MINIMUM of 30 games bowled in local NABI tournament this year. In order to receive the negotiated hotel rate for NABI Week of $40 +tax per night for Sun. - Thurs, and $90 +tax per night for Friday & Saturday, make sure pop-ups are enabled on your browser & Click the logo above, and scroll to the bottom of the page where it says "Need to book a group reservation? National Championship - $25,000 Guarantee!!!
This is what it's all about! Round #1 qualifying squads Saturday, July 18 thru Monday, July 20. Semifinals Monday, July 20 at 10pm. Round #2 qualifying squads Wednesday, July 22 and Thursday, July 23. Semifinals Friday July 24 at Noon. Top 8 from each round's semifinals advance to the finals on Friday, July 24. Qualifying and semifinal rounds are 3 games each. Entry fee: $150 prepaid, $175 on-site.
CHALLENGE
Your chance to bowl with the Pros. Three game qualifying squads Friday, July 17 thru Sunday, July 19. Three game semifinal round on Sunday, July 19 at 10pm. The top 8 will advance to the finals being held Tuesday, July 22 at 1:00 pm where the 8 finalists and 4 Pros will be divided into four (3) man teams (2 amateurs + 1 pro). They will bowl in a modified Bakers format where Amateur #1 will roll frames 1, 4 & 7; Amateur #2 will roll frames 2, 5 & 8 and the Pro will roll frames 3, 6, 9 & 10. A round robin match play round will determine the seeding for the stepladder. Entry fee: $85
One bowler from each NABI Area around the country will earn a guaranteed spot in the national semifials of this event by winning their local 900 Global Challenge qualifying event. Check with your local NABI Director for dates & details.
SHOOTOUT
Traditional 3-game qualifying squads Monday, July 20 thru Thursday, July 23. Semifinals Thursday, July 23 at 10:00 pm with the top 9 advancing to the finals on Friday, July 24 at 9:00am. Entry fee $85
TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS - $5,000.00 1st Place
By Invitation only. Limited to Champions of local NABI tournaments held from May 17, 2008 thru May 24, 2009. Traditional 3-game qualifying squads on Tuesday, July 21 at either 9:00 or 11:00am. A squad will be assigned by the National Office once the Invitation RSVP certificate has been received from the Champion. Semifinals will be held Tuesday, July 21 at 9:00pm with the top 5 advancing to the finals b3eing held Wednesday, July 22 at 10:00pm.
CLASSIC
Traditional 3-game qualifying squads Monday, July 20 thru Thursday, July 23. The top 40 scores plus any ties, that are on the board after the final qualifying squad will advance to the finals. One of 6 entries will cash in thei event, so depending on entries - bowlers that do not make the finals may be eligible for proze money. The finals will be held Thursday, July 23 at 7:00pm. The first round of the finals will consist of 2 games with the top 16 scores advance to a bracket to determine the champion. Entry fee: $75
LADIES CHAMPIONSHIPS
Traditional 3-game qualifying and semifinal rounds.The top 5 semifinalists will advance to match-play stepladder finals. Qualifying squads on Monday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 22. Semifinals Wednesday, July 22 at 7pm immediately followed by the finals. Entry fee: $70
SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIPS
3-game, score only event. You must be 50 years of age or older to compete in this event. Squads Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19. Entry fee: $70
KICK OFF SINGLES
3-game, score only event. Multiple cashing allowed, but only once in the top 10 places. Squads starting Friday, July 17 thru Sunday, July 19. Entry fee: $70
National Team Championships
Back by popular demand! This is a one squad only event, limited to the 1st 70 teams to purchase thier entries. 3-game, score only event. Entry fee: $160 per team ($40 per bowler). Entry forms are only available from your local NABI Directors.
CROSSOVER DOUBLES
2-game, score only - warm-up doubles event. You may bowl with multiple partners on the same squad. Entry fee is $30 per bowler/per team (one partner your share =$30, two partners your share = $60 ect.)
